Clock Tower

This interactive clock tower aims to play with the idea how the people position themselves according to the time of
day. In order to see the time, one has to put his/her hand on the touch sensitive switch and wrap directly under the indicating
light. Inspire by children around trees in park, this hope to create unexpected encounters between strangers.

Park Bench

This installation collects and translates your feet tapping motion into a rotary one. It then drives the wheels
at the top, mimicking the soothing shadows of leaves. Each stepper drives two wheels and the more users use it,
the more dramatic the experience.

Slide Away Part 3

This is a video documenting the idea of Entrainment involving users. Entrainment is the process whereby two
interacting oscillating systems, which have different periods when they function independently, assume the same
period. The two oscillators may fall into synchrony, but other phase relationships are also possible.

Entrainment Working Model

Here is a video of how this theory works in terms of design opportunity.

Imagine the two weights represents 2 people and their rhythms gradually becomes synchronised.

It is difficult to see from the video but it happens!!

Entrainment

I came across the theory of entrainment last week during my making of my feet instrument. The theory suggest whereby two interacting oscillating systems, which have different periods when they function independently, assume the same period. The two oscillators may fall into synchrony.

This model is not fully functional yet as I have to make adjustments to various parts. A video will follow once I have succeeded.

Interesting Times

My proud first attempt in video editing with no help whatsoever.

Here is a little clip I made to illustrate my new question, how long does it take for your wait to become interesting.

Unfortunately the quality went down a little when I was exporting it. I'll try to fix it as soon as possible.

Alpha Road Project

This is a side project I'm doing at the moment along with my interventions at the bus stops. I will be posting every residents who live on my street sets of jewelery and ask them to all wear them on tuesday. I wanted to find out whether they would talk to each others or have any sort of interaction when they regonise their neighbours.
